Habitat of Merrow

Within the Irish and Scottish Gaelic culture humanoid creatures that swim the shore seeking their prey are known as a ‘Murúch’ or in English a ‘Merrow’ and were known as a type of mermaid. However, unlike the more sedate and chilled out salt water types found along the islands coast lines; the fresh water type within the loughs and rivers are known to be more troublesome and darker in nature. A story was brought to the attention of the Legend Seekers Barry Fitzgerald and Cormac Strain pitching them against nature and one of her darker secrets from the depths of the lough.
